Why Visit Taj Mahal At Night
Taj Mahal is special at full moon nights. As the moon rules the evening skies with its soft glow, Taj Mahal glitters like a white pearl at the backdrop of the blue skyline. Prior to 2004 night viewing of Taj Mahal was not allowed. But after that night viewing of the memorial was temporarily permitted for initial 3 months and after its grand success was opened for every 5 days in a month. These five days include the full moon night and couple of nights before and after that. The white dome of the monument is the most highlighted part of the whole structure at night, while the other parts create a harmony of balance and stand being united. The lines of cypress trees makes the picture perfect while walking over the soft green grass hand in hand under the moonlight at the monument of love is a lifetime memory for the visitors.
Rules for Night Visit at Taj Mahal,
Entry to Taj Mahal is strictly prohibited on Fridays, as it is the prayer day of the Muslims. Also during the month of Ramzan visitors are not allowed within the complex. Just 400 people are allowed per day within the Taj complex at night. The tourists are divided into batches of 50 and are permitted for 30 minutes within the premises of Taj Mahal. You can hence explore Taj Mahal and drench in the cool moonlights without much chaos. Tickets need to be booked one day prior to your visit from the office of the Archaeological Survey of India, who are responsible for the maintenance of this historic monument.
For any unavoidable circumstances if you need to cancel the tickets the same is also possible at the office, on the day of visit, with a meagre 25% cancellation charges. Last but not the least; visitors are requested to be at the Shilpgram, which is also the Eastern Gate of Taj Mahal half hour before the visit for security checks.
Hence rekindle your love or take the oaths of love with your beloved sitting in front of Taj Mahal, which still bears the saga of an eternal love story; a fairy tale of a king and a queen
